1796-1996 Jack Daniels Bicentennial Tennessee Whiskey
Collect this 1796-1996 Jack Daniels Bicentennial Tennessee Whiskey. In 1896, Mr. Jack commissioned a special "Centennial Bottle" in honor of Tennessee's 100th anniversary of becoming the 16th state. Because of the bottle's long, twisting neck, it was difficult to make and only a few were manufactured and given by Mr. Jack to his friends. An updated 750ml replica, released in 1995 in anticipation of the 1996 anniversary, was created to celebrate Tennessee's 200th birthday. Jack Daniel’s Bicentennial pays tribute to the 200th anniversary of the State of Tennessee which was in 1996. The bottle itself is a replica from the bottle released 100 years earlier, in 1896, by the man himself. This is the scarce US release, bottled at 750 ml and 48% ABV; the European version contained 700 ml and a lower 43% ABV.
